A safety framework written by its users, not a censor
Five layers keep the kernel safe: a hard list no vote can lift, checks on your device, on chain and on every read, and a steward who must say why.
DRIVE 369 DAO
Who decides what an AI may say or do? Usually a policy team you will never meet. In Ghostdrive part of that answer is written by the people who use it, and part of it cannot be voted away at all.
Two kinds of rules
- Values the community writes. What the AI and the network stand for: proposals adopted into the kernel. Every member's Ghost reads it before it answers.
- A hard list nobody can vote down. Rules for tasks and content the network will not do, kept in the code (the network's safety list). A vote cannot unblock them, so a majority cannot be used to cross them.
Five layers, no censor
- Before sending, on your device: length for your tier; the hard list; insults, profanity and dehumanising words in English and Russian; requests for keys, seed phrases, addresses or transfers; links before the protocol tier; invisible characters; shouting. Words of attack get a note that says what to build instead.
- On chain: the contract refuses empty text, control characters, over-long text and posting inside the cooldown. It never judges meaning, so it cannot be turned into a censor.
- When reading: every reader's device runs the same check and holds a failing proposal behind a note with "Show the text". A modified client can skip step 1, and step 3 covers it.
- A steward can hide a proposal with a public reason and restore it. Hiding costs the author one standing. Nobody can edit or delete anyone's words.
- Governance sets the voting period, cooldown and minimum voices within fixed bounds, and can name a new steward in two steps.
Why it is built this way
A single moderator is a single point of failure and of pressure. A pure free-for-all lets spam and abuse in. Splitting the work keeps each part small: your device protects you, the chain stays neutral, readers verify, and one visible role handles the rest with a reason anyone can read.
Honest limits
On the testnet the steward is the guardian wallet. The checks catch the common cases, not every one, and people will write around them. A newcomer's 256 characters is a deliberate limit on how much harm one account can do before it has standing.
Take part
The framework improves when people propose and vote on it: a better note, a missing rule, a clearer protocol. Write a proposal in the Trust or Technology sphere.
Live on the testnet, audit pending.
